Details
- Format
- Six levels: Elementary (A1), Basic (A2), and TRKI-1 to TRKI-4 (B1 to C2). Each test has five parts: Reading, Writing, Vocabulary and Grammar, Listening, and Speaking. Total time ranges from about 3 hours 30 minutes (Elementary) to 5 hours 30 minutes (TRKI-3 and TRKI-4); TRKI-1 takes about 4 hours 45 minutes and TRKI-2 about 5 hours.
- Scoring
- To pass, you need at least 66% in each part, though 60% in one part is accepted if the other four reach 66%. If you fail one part, you can retake just that part within two years. The Pushkin Institute describes TRKI-1 (B1) as the level needed for bachelor's programmes at Russian universities and TRKI-2 (B2) for master's programmes.
