About
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) is a public polytechnic research university in Pomona, California, United States. Designated R2, Doctoral Universities – High Research Activity. It is the largest of the three polytechnic universities in the California State University system by enrollment. This Pomona campus expanded in 1949 when it was gifted the W.K. Kellogg Institute of Animal Husbandry from the University of California, which was originally Will Keith Kellogg's horse ranch.
